• University of Minnesota, General Practice Residency, 2003. One year residency focusing on providing dentistry for medically complex patients, patients in a hospital setting and patients in the operating room.
  
• University of Minnesota, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, 2004. One year residency focusing on treating complex dental cases.
  

Community Service

• I teach proper oral health to school children during presentations as part of National Children’s Dental Health Month in February
• I’m an Arabic/English translator at a community center.
• I write opinion columns for MPR.org.

Hobbies & Interests

• I enjoy writing, hiking and caring for flowering shrubsand fruit trees.
• I love traveling to Lake Superior in the summer.

Family

• My wife, Deema, and I live in Burnsville with our son, Zayd.
